Orange Iced Tea

I love a good iced tea during summer. It’s the kind of drink that you’d buy at the supermarket but it’s actually one of the easiest things to make and it’s super refreshing!

Ingredients:

  • 8 Cups water
  • 3 Tablespoons Tea Leaves (5 or 6 tea bags)
  • 2 or 3 oranges
  • Sugar or Honey (optional)

Preparation:

  1. Bring your water to a boil and add the tea leaves. If you’re using tea bags, once the water starts to simmer, turn off the heat and add the tea bags.
  2. After 3 or 4 minutes (depending how strong you want your tea), leave the tea to cool. Before the next step, if you are using tea leaves, make sure to filter the tea with a tea strainer.
  3. Pour the juice of 2 or 3 oranges and if you wish to sweeten the tea, add some sugar or honey according to taste. (I don’t add any sweetener) .Mix well.
  4. Pour the iced tea in a pitcher jug (or a bottle) and store in the fridge for minimum 4 hours.
  5. Serve the iced tea with ice cubes. It’s the perfect way to beat the heat!
